Salon Chateau, Inc.

Consignment News: April 20th 2009

Salon Chateau expands their retail area from typical hair products by opening a designer label consignment boutique.   'Spring Clean', 'Go GREEN' and 'Cash In' Safely by recycling your high quality, high ticket fashions from handbags to jeans.

Like so many women, Charlotte Watkins loves designer fashions. With this passion for fashion, it was inevitable that her large walk-in closet began overflowing into a spare bedroom. As a Baton Rouge salon owner and hairstylist, Charlotte began displaying some high-ticket fashions for resale at Salon Chateau's Perkins Road location and selling them at significantly reduced prices.

Given the economy and recession people have been looking for ways to cut back without sacrificing quality. With this in mind, Charlotte and her friends began bringing in more merchandise such as handbags, belts, tops, dresses, jackets and more, primarily in size Zero to Twelve.

Recently when a high end boutique in the prestigious Town Centre at Cedar Lodge was closing after three years,  Salon Chateau's Boutique Consignments bought out the new inventory and everything is marked down at consignment prices. You'll find Gucci, Louis Vuitton, 7 For All Mankind, True Religion, Juicy Couture, Betsey Johnson and many other great designer items for re-sale!

Salon Chateau's Boutique Consignments is now officially open for business and is accepting consignments from the public.

When asked why she thought this was a good idea to open a new business in this economy, Charlotte replied "I had previously advertised and sold some of my more expensive clothing and handbags on Craigslist until all the recent news. Then it just didn't make sense to invite strangers into my home, so I began displaying items for re-sale at my Hair Salon and then it just 'clicked'.

Now that the Consignment Boutique is open, and my friends are cleaning out their closets, our racks are full and it is so much fun for us all to SHOP here. There are so many good reasons to do this right now and we make it easy and of course, safe!"
