SALON EXPANSION: CONTINUED

As 2021 came to a close, Salon Chateau entered 2022 with a grand opening of the Education Suite. It is located upstairs (Suite D), housing D.O.P.E. Length Extension apprentices with classes offered by Hannah Green, Extension Specialist and Educator.

Our current apprentice team is comprised of three talented hairstylists– Ann, Carmen, and Hayli– who are all accepting new clients!

NEW ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM

New clients and established clients can request all appointments easily through our new online booking system–same day appointments can be secured within minutes from your smartphone or computer.

Additionally, participating stylists, (Bios found on Our Team page), offer to set up appointments or consults via direct texts or by phone. Incoming salon calls and emails are remotely answered by Memory Green.

RENOVATIONS IN PROGRESS

Please pardon our progress in Suite A! With the expansion upstairs, the downstairs salon has downsized from 9 to 6 stylist chairs. We hope to have a larger waiting room with new seating after all renovations are complete.

Additionally, we anticipate a newly relocated smock room in the main hallway for ergonomic and functional purposes.

Although not yet installed, the full size door (seen in photo) has been repurposed and cut down the middle to create narrow French doors, which will help the flow of traffic, within the main hallway.

Since color can reflect onto clients’ hair, we decided on neutral colored walls. We will be implementing 2 toned cabinets which helps brighten the space by its paler tones reflecting light rather than absorbing.

OPEN NORMAL HOURS

In order to remain open our usual hours, the downstairs team planned to make improvements when the salon is closed. We prepared to stay late hours for the next few months until a wonderful salon client offered an extending hand, “paying it forward” by giving us a professional paint crew. We all were astounded, though incredibly grateful! As "paying it forward" is more commonly experienced while waiting in line for a coffee at a Starbucks, the impact this spirit of giving has bestowed on a small business team has touched us all profoundly.
