Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, It’s SuperStylist, Carmen Stevenson! Carmen’s passion for hair started at a very young age; she’d play make believe hair salon with kitchen scissors before eventually moving on to real shears and graduating from AVEDA. Aside from hairstyling being a dream job since childhood, Carmen additionally chose to work in this field for the peace it brings. For a creative soul like hers, hairstyling provides the artistic spark and satisfaction that saturates life with meaning; her role as a salon artist is a constant embracement of inspiration and creativity she once believed she had lost. Additionally, the shared gratification between stylist and client at the end of each appointment is, in Carmen’s words, what keeps [her] going. Carmen’s future goal as a stylist is to become an educator, which presently pushes a strive for continuous growth and learning experiences. Though her driving passion alone catches the eyes of clients, she’s also cherished for working with the Hispanic/Latin community as she is bilingual herself. When away from her second home (the cozy Salon Chateau), Carmen can be found in her own home where she enjoys cooking, gardening, or spending time with her baby boy, Mateo.
